Background
Mike has a bachelor's degree in mathematics, and has worked at GE's Global Research Center (in Niskayuna, New York) since 2000. Since he grew up with Erector sets, he didn't discover Legos until he joined the BattleBricks group. He has been working hard to make up for that deficiency ever since.

Mike's interests span a wide range of subjects. He figures his talents for Lego engineering are part nature, part nurture -- his father worked with industrial machinery, so there were always interesting bits (and tools) readily at hand.
Build Style
After witnessing the first few battles, Mike has adopted the Steve Z. mantra of "Pin it. Drop it. Pin whatever falls off." Also, since he owns primarily black, grey & blue Legos, his bots usually have a similar, sinister feel to them.
Quotes
Whaddya mean, it's overbuilt? I still have Legos left over!
